About Thor’s hammer (the symbol above). All religions have an emblem or symbolic device. In Odinism this is the Thor’s Hammer. The Eddas call it Miollnir, i.e. the ‘Crusher’ or ‘Grinder’. From the literature it is apparent that Odinists have used this symbol in their liturgies since ancient times. It is primarily a sign of Divine reverence, commitment to work with the Aesir gods in their struggle against the forces of chaos, and protection by the gods.(Odinism and recovery from the Christian catastrophe)
Wishing you and your loves ones a joyful Yule!
Hopefully you know what Yule is about (Yule Blessings) — nothing to do with jews and their fictitious “Jesus.” Keep the yid out of Yule.
Follow-up
- Today, 22 Dec, is the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere this year.
- Yule is upon us! The sun is returning, and soon spring, life, and fertility.
- Let’s feast on boar and stag, consume wine, beer, and spirits, and eat breads, cookies, and cakes.
- And keep the Yule Log burning at a slow rate for 12 days before sprinkling the ashes in the field for good luck.
Best wishes,
AoM
